D’Aguilar Highway (Yarraman – Kingaroy) Nanango, pavement widening and strengthening
Planning is underway to widen and strengthen a section of the D’Aguilar Highway, south of Nanango to improve safety and traffic flow.
The department is investigating options to:
- widen and strengthen a section of the D’Aguilar Highway between south of Nanango and South Street in Nanango township
- install road safety treatments to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes.

Current Status
Investigations are underway on this section of the D’Aguilar Highway due to its traffic volumes, road width, geometry and crash history.
The project aims to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes. Treatments being considered include:
- audio tactile line marking
- reflective pavement markers
- wide centre line treatments
- install roadside barriers
- clear roadside hazards
- intersection improvements.
We are seeking community feedback in early 2025, before finalising a decision on the preferred option.
