Diamantina Developmental Road (Charleville - Quilpie) – pavement widening

Priority pavement widening works are being delivered on various sections of the Diamantina Developmental Road (Charleville – Quilpie) between 69.59km to 152km west of Charleville.

The works will be delivered through the Regional Economic Enabling Fund (REEF), a package of works that will deliver targeted upgrades to many roads across regional Queensland in response to COVID-19. REEF will deliver progressive sealing, pavement strengthening and widening and bridge and floodway upgrades, providing remote communities with more employment opportunities and better connections to other vital services.

Current status

Construction is expected to start in February 2021, weather and conditions permitting.
