Landsborough Highway (Winton – Kynuna), pavement strengthening and widening

Another 2km of the highway between Winton and Kynuna has been widened and strengthened.

The Landsborough Highway is the principal north-south route serving western Queensland and is a key tourism route and vital supply chain.

A section of about 2km of highway between Winton and Kynuna has been widened and strengthened to ensure the highway provides a safe driving experience for all road users.

Current status

Construction started in March 2021 and was completed in June 2021. Local road crews from RoadTek based in Winton, delivered the works.
