Landsborough Highway (Winton – Kynuna), pavement strengthening and widening

Works are underway to widen and strengthen about 2km of the highway between Winton and Kynuna.

The Landsborough Highway is the principal north-south route serving western Queensland and is a key tourism route and vital supply chain.

The project will widen and strengthen a section of about 2km between Winton and Kynuna to ensure the highway provides a safe driving experience for all road users.

Current status

Construction started in March 2021 with completion expected in June 2021. Local road crews from RoadTek are delivering the works.
