Mount Glorious Road and Samford-Mount Glorious Road, improve safety

The department has completed design for safety improvements on Mount Glorious Road and construction is completed on Samford-Mount Glorious Road.

The project is being delivered as part of the Queensland Government's Targeted Road Safety Program, which aims to improve road safety by implementing high-benefit, cost-effective treatments to address known and potential crash locations.

Current status

Samford-Mount Glorious Road (between Dawson Creek Road and Mount Glorious Road)

Construction for this stage of the project was completed in mid-2021.

Mount Glorious Road (between Samford-Mount Glorious Road and Wivenhoe-Somerset Road intersections)

Detailed design for Mount Glorious Road is complete and construction is anticipated to start in late 2021, weather and construction scheduling permitting.
