Warrego Highway (Toowoomba – Dalby), Brimblecombe Road, upgrade intersection

This project improved safety at the Warrego Highway and Brimblecombe Road intersection, following several crashes in recent years.

The works involved widening the intersection and providing a right turn lane into Brimblecombe Road.

The addition of the dedicated turn lane has reduced the risk of rear-end crashes by allowing right turning vehicles to move out of the path of eastbound traffic.

Access and mobility for freight movements along the Warrego Highway has also been improved.

Recent crashes have involved vehicles being hit from the rear while slowing to turn right into Brimblecombe Road. This upgrade will reduce the risk of similar crashes happening in the future.
