Warrego Highway (Toowoomba – Dalby), Brimblecombe Road, upgrade intersection

This project will improve safety at the Warrego Highway and Brimblecombe Road intersection, following several crashes in recent years.

The works will widen the intersection, providing a turn lane for vehicles turning right into Brimblecombe Road.

The addition of the dedicated turn lane will reduce the risk of rear-end crashes, by allowing right turning vehicles to move out of the path of eastbound traffic.

This will improve access and mobility for freight movements along the Warrego Highway.

Recent crashes have involved vehicles being hit from the rear while slowing to turn right into Brimblecombe Road. The upgrade will reduce the risk of similar crashes happening in the future.
