How to become an accredited driver and rider trainer

A list of Queensland registered training providers of driving instruction courses is also available to download. If you want to deliver Q-Ride training for motorbikes, you must become an accredited rider trainer. Before being accredited as a rider trainer, you must already be accredited as a driver trainer and hold authorisation to provide training for a class R motorbike.

To deliver Q-Ride training, you must be employed by a Q-Ride registered service provider or be a Q-Ride registered service provider.

Accredited driver trainers and rider trainers must meet the requirements for accreditation contained in part three of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management — Accreditation and Other Provisions) Regulation 2005.

The Driver Trainer News is a publication produced to inform accredited driver and rider trainers of upcoming changes or new initiatives, confirm existing policies or procedures and clarify matters discussed at Driver Trainer Industry Working Group meetings or raised by staff in customer service centres or by other driver and rider trainers.
