Disability Action Plan—Improving Access to 2017
The Disability Action Plan—Improving Access to 2017 (Disability Action Plan) outlines how we can improve accessibility for people with disabilities using our passenger transport system.
It takes a customer centred approach, and focuses on 4 priorities supported by 28 actions. The 4 priorities are:
- Building an accessible transport network
- Enhancing the customer experience
- Improving the accessibility of information
- Working in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
The plan was developed following consultation with transport operators, disability and non-government sector representative groups, the Local Government Association of Queensland, the Queensland Disability Advisory Council, and members of the public through the completion of a survey on the government’s Get Involved website.

The first review of the implementation of the actions from the Disability Action Plan was completed at the start of 2016. A final review of the implementation of the Disability Action Plan is planned to occur in 2017.
