Bridge scour manual

The department has agreed in principle to adopt the standards published in Austroads Guide to Bridge Technology Part 8, Chapter 5: Bridge Scour (2018) as part of national harmonisation.

This manual includes bridge scour criteria and exceptions for Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads practice, and has precedence over the appropriate Austroads guide.
