Accidents and fatalities involving motor vehicles, railways and marine vessels significantly impact our community. Improving the safety of our transport networks not only reduces causalities but benefits everyone. The following safety campaigns are currently raising awareness and encouraging safer behaviour across Queensland:
- StreetSmarts
An education platform where visitors can learn more about road safety and help make a difference. - Queensland Rail campaigns
Motorists, passengers and the public all have a role to play in making areas around railways as safe as possible. - ‘Cool Your Jets’ from Maritime Safety Queensland
From September and throughout summer, officers are out on the water delivering compliance checks and safety education to keep waterways safe.
