As a member you may participate in activities such as online surveys or discussion groups. You will also have the option to receive invitations for in-person activities should you choose.
Activities will vary in their content and will capture your views on current or future services or initiatives, communications and experiences.
You will be providing feedback on topics as diverse as:
- road or maritime safety
- transport infrastructure
- innovative transport solutions such as autonomous vehicles
- new products and services
- our customer service performance
...and many others.
Benefits for you
You will be participating in shaping solutions to improve your transport experiences in Queensland. Your opinions and feedback are important to us and we want to hear from you.
We also want to share how we are using your feedback and news on what's coming up. We will send you a regular member newsletter with results from Transport Talk topics, new ideas and project updates.
When you participate in an activity, you will have the chance to enter a monthly draw to win prizes!
Every month 5 winners will receive a $50 Flexi eGift card to spend as they please. Each time you contribute, by completing a survey or participating in a discussion, you will receive an entry into the monthly draw. You can complete each survey only once.
Members must be aged 16 years or more and be interested in sharing their opinions about transport-related issues.
Please note you are not eligible to be a member if:
- you work for the Department of Transport and Main Roads
- you are under 16 years old.
Public servants and the immediate family of employees of the Department of Transport and Main Roads are eligible to be members but are not eligible for the monthly draws.
Signing up and participating
Joining is free—we simply ask you to tell us a little bit about yourself, so we can connect you with opportunities that are relevant to you.
In order to join Transport Talk we also ask you to agree to a participant agreement.
Once you have signed up, you will begin receiving email invitations with a link to an activity. You will also begin receiving regular member newsletters.
You will remain part of Transport Talk as long as you are responding to invitations to participate.
You can remove yourself from Transport Talk at any time by sending an email request to TransportTalk@tmr.qld.gov.au or by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link on any Transport Talk email.
We will ask you how often you would like to participate in Transport Talk activities or surveys and you can choose which activities you participate in. We value your opinion and will use it to help improve our products and services.
Completing an activity
You will be emailed a unique URL link for each activity. Click on the link or copy and paste it into a web browser and follow the instructions.
We respect your privacy and will keep all responses anonymous and confidential. Your feedback will be aggregated with that of other Transport Talk members to maintain anonymity and confidentiality.
We also respect and value your time - All activities are designed to be short and concise. You won't need to complete an online activity in one go, but are usually able to come back to finish it later. Each invitation will indicate how long the activity will remain open, typically this will be between 3 days and 2 weeks.
