TMR actively demonstrates its commitment to anti-racism through its Cultural Inclusion Program and public endorsement of the Australian Human Rights Commission's Racism. It Stops With Me campaign, which encourages individuals to reject prejudice and promote equality.

TMR explicitly communicates a zero-tolerance approach to racism and regularly promotes awareness through initiatives such as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, Multicultural Queensland Month and Refugee Week. The department's Equity and Diversity Plan further reinforce its commitment to inclusion, social cohesion and equitable outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse communities. TMR also promotes accessible and inclusive communication practices to ensure information is available to people of all cultural backgrounds, languages and abilities.

Develop and implement a new Respectful Relationships training program, including a focus on increasing staff awareness of what constitutes racism and discrimination, and building skills on how to prevent and respond to it.

TMR has established a range of initiatives that support staff awareness and capability in recognising, preventing and responding to racism, discrimination and exclusion. Through its Cultural Inclusion Program, TMR promotes a zero-tolerance approach to racism and provides mandatory learning programs including Accessibility and Inclusion at TMR, Public Entities and the Queensland Human Rights Act 2019, and Workplace Bullying, Sexual Harassment and Unlawful Discrimination training.

TMR is also committed to refreshing cultural capability, anti-racism, human rights, workplace bullying, sexual harassment and unlawful discrimination training for all employees to strengthen awareness and response capabilities. Resources, support services and confidential incident reporting pathways are available to assist employees who experience or witness discrimination.
