Transport Enabling Charities Policy

The Transport Enabling Charities (TEC) Policy and TEC Program supports eligible charities that are required to perform works on state transport infrastructure as part of a development approval under the Planning Act 2016

Where a charitable organisation is unable to fund the works to state transport infrastructure they may apply to the Department of Transport and Main Roads to have the works considered for the TEC Program. If an application is approved, the Department of Transport and Main Roads will undertake or, arrange or approve a suitable contractor to undertake, the works required to state transport infrastructure.

Who can apply?

To be eligible both the charitable organisation and the required works to state transport infrastructure must meet certain criteria outlined in the TEC Policy

Further guidance to assist charities to determine if they are eligible is provided in the Transport Enabling Charities Program Guideline

How to apply

To apply for the TEC Program, please complete the TEC Program Application Form (DOCX, 124KB) and email the form and any required supporting information to TEC@tmr.qld.gov.au
