Department of Transport and Main Roads

TIC Design and Construct

Key aspects of the TIC-DC

  • replaces the current Design and Construct Contract
  • can be used for the construction of all forms of transport infrastructure (such as roads, marine structures and busways)
  • for open tendering (one-stage or two-stage process), and
  • contains dispute resolution alternatives, such as 'Issues Resolution Advisor' and 'Dispute Resolution Board'
Any new tenders from September 2015 will be required to use the TIC-DC templates.

The department is using TIC-DC for all design and construction contracts from September 2015, unless an Early Contractor Involvement contract is appropriate. Please contact Director (Infrastructure Procurement/Infrastructure Delivery Services) with any inquiries on design and construct-style projects.
