Electric vehicles in Queensland
Low and zero emission vehicles can deliver a wide range of environmental, economic and community benefits.
The opportunities that low and zero emission vehicles can bring to Queensland will be considered under the broader policy considerations of the Transport Sector Emissions Reduction Plan due for delivery by 30 September 2026. This will be one of six sector plans the Queensland Government develops to demonstrate how the Queensland Economy is moving towards net zero by 2050.
By embedding low and zero emission vehicles into a broader framework, Queensland is committed to delivering sustainable, long-term solutions for reducing transport emissions.
