Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act Compliance Reporting
The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) is Australia's key environmental legislation, designed to protect our unique ecosystems, native species, and cultural heritage.
It ensures that activities with potential environmental impacts are carefully assessed and managed to safeguard biodiversity and promote sustainable development.
Projects with an approval under the EPBC Act may be required to publish compliance reports. These reports provide a transparent overview of how projects are meeting their conditions of approval.
Compliance reports can include strategies, management plans and annual compliance reports, and are specific to each project and their approval.
This process ensures accountability and helps maintain Queensland's commitment to sustainable development.
