Introduction

The Disability Action Plan describes how we are improving Queensland's passenger transport network for people with disability.

The plan covers the state-managed passenger transport network across bus, train, tram and ferry services. It also includes commercial passenger vehicles such as taxis and rideshare. It considers all aspects of passenger transport planning, delivery, operations and customer experience.

The Disability Action Plan is the only TMR plan focused on making passenger transport more accessible for people with disability. It supports the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 by helping remove barriers and prevent discrimination across transport services.

The plan supports and aligns with key TMR plans:

  • TMR's Disability Services Plan outlines our commitment to delivering accessible products and services including TMR workplaces for people with disability. This supports the Australian Disability Strategy 2021–2031 and Queensland's Disability Plan 2022–2027: Together, a better Queensland.
  • Translink's Creating Better Connections for Queenslanders 10-year plan sets our priorities and key initiatives for passenger transport in Queensland.
  • TMR’s Accessibility and Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan 2025–2027, outlines how we are embedding accessible and inclusive practices for all people across our workplaces, products and services.
