Service contract areas and routes

Under Section 42 of the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994, the department may declare a service contract will be required to provide a public passenger service of a specified kind for a specified area or route. Under section 42B of the Act, the department may amend a service contract area or route the subject of an existing declaration.
