What is a Transport and Main Roads internship?

As an intern with us, you'll develop critical technical skills through on-the-job project experiences.

You'll learn the role of the Queensland Government and how our work benefits the people of Queensland and their communities.

What we offer

• internship support payments
• possible opportunity to enter the 2025 Graduate Program if you meet some conditions which are outlined in the application process.

We offer internships in engineering in locations across metro and regional Queensland.

Am I eligible to apply?

To be eligible for an internship with us, you must be:

• studying a relevant engineering tertiary qualification that is accredited under the Washington Accord
• completing the second-last year of university study in 2023 and due to graduate at the end of 2024. For example, the third year of a four-year engineering degree
• an Australian citizen or reside in Australia and have current work rights in Australia.
