Approved Queensland heavy vehicle route maps and restrictions can be accessed through:
- NHVR National Network Map
- Queensland Globe
- Bridge and culvert restrictions
- South-East Queensland restricted use routes
NHVR National Network Map
Visit the NHVR National Network Map to view approved routes for:
- B-double vehicles up to 23m
- B-double vehicles up to 25/26m
- Road train type 1 up to 36.5m
- Road train type 2 up to 53.5m
- Higher mass limits vehicles
- NORTBD route (No road trains or B-doubles)
- 1 Tonne Tri-Axle Mass Transfer Allowance
- Multi-combination shaded areas
Queensland Globe
You can create, download and print maps specific to the routes and restrictions that apply to you.
You still need to ensure that all conditional and route requirements are met in accordance with the relevant gazette notices and permit-based schemes.
If your vehicle is outside of mass or dimensional limits, you will need a permit or operate under a notice.
View Queensland Globe for approved routes and restrictions for:
- state-controlled roads
- critical areas and critical and major roads
- performance-based standards scheme vehicles.

Bridge and culvert restrictions
Bridge and culvert restrictions apply for:
- Category 1 (IAP) special purpose vehicles
- Category 2 (IAP) special purpose vehicles
- 2 axle prescribed special purpose vehicles and 2 axle articulated steering cranes operating under National Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicle (up to 40t total mass) Mass and Dimension Exemption Notice
- 3 axle articulated steering cranes operating under National Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicle (up to 40t total mass) Mass and Dimension Exemption Notice
