Do I have to use the Department of Transport and Main Roads BEAR solution?

Our reporting solution - BEAR (Booking Entity Authorisation Data Collection and Reporting) is secure, user friendly, and easy to navigate.

You are required to use the BEAR solution to enter and submit your quarterly and annual reports.

You will receive a notification from the BEAR solution when each report is due.

What do I need to complete my reporting obligations

You will need a myID account

To ensure you can safely and securely log in to BEAR, you will be required to log in using a myID account. myID is the Australian Government’s Digital ID app which allows you to prove who you are when accessing government online services. If you do not already have a myID account, now is the time to get more information and to download the myID app by visiting myID.

What level of myID security do I require?

The identity strength needs to be at the Standard ID Strength. More information is available here. How to set up myID | myID

Do I need to link BEAR with my personal myID?

To register for BEAR, you will need to link your personal myID to your BEAR account. This ensures secure access and can be linked to multiple booking entities.

• Your myID is linked to your personal email address.
• You’ll log in to BEAR using that email address for security.
• BEAR does not access, display or store the email linked to your myID—it's only for login.
• BEAR uses the primary email you nominate within BEAR for notifications and communication.
