Compliance Management Plans
Compliance Management Plans (CMPs) outline how the Department of Transport and Main Roads and its contractors will comply with specific environmental legislation when constructing or maintaining transport infrastructure.
Compliance Management Plans are developed in consultation with relevant agencies and once approved, signify compliance with the relevant legislative requirements.
The authority to create and approve Compliance Management Plans comes from the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.
There are 2 types of Compliance Management Plans:
- Compliance Management Plans prepared by contractors and approved by the Department of Transport and Main Roads under section 477G Transport Infrastructure Act 1994
- Compliance Management Plans made and approved by the Department of Transport and Main Roads under section 477H Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.
