Compliance Management Plans

Compliance Management Plans outline how the Department of Transport and Main Roads and its contractors will comply with specified environmental legislation when constructing or maintaining transport infrastructure.

Compliance Management Plans are developed in consultation with relevant agencies and once approved deem compliance with relevant legislative requirements.

The power to make and approve Compliance Management Plans comes from the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.

There are 2 types of Compliance Management Plans:

1. Compliance Management Plans prepared by contractors and approved by the Department of Transport and Main Roads under section 477G Transport Infrastructure Act 1994
2. Compliance Management Plans made and approved by the Department of Transport and Main Roads under section 477H Transport Infrastructure Act 1994.
