Fixing the Trains

In February 2017, the Queensland Government considered the Queensland Rail train crewing practices Commission of Inquiry's report (Strachan Inquiry) and accepted all 36 recommendations from the report.

In order to deliver on all Strachan Inquiry recommendations, on 8 March 2017 the Queensland Government released the Fixing the Trains high level implementation plan: an action plan to get Queensland's rail services back on track.

The document outlines government's plan to transform rail in Queensland, including the first 100 day commitments that go above and beyond the initial Strachan Inquiry recommendations. You can read the plan and review the program's progress on the Citytrain Response Unit's website.
