Barcaldine-Aramac Road, rehabilitate pavement

Works are underway to widen and seal more than 6.5km of the Barcaldine-Aramac Road in central west Queensland.

This project is part of a broader program of works to widen narrow sections of the road to a width of 8m.

Other widening works will be delivered on the road throughout 2021. It is expected that a total of 13km of the road will be widened during the year.

This follows more than 6.5km of the road being widened in May 2020.

Current status

Construction started in January 2021 with completion expected mid-2021. Local road crews from Barcaldine Regional Council are delivering the works.
