Barwon Highway (Talwood - Nindigully) Weengallon, pavement widening

Pavement widening on the Barwon Highway has been completed to improve road safety, reduce ongoing maintenance demand and provide a better driving experience for road users in the area.

The Barwon Highway is a significant corridor for heavy vehicles travelling through South West Queensland and the Goondiwindi area. This vital road link services rural communities such as Goondiwindi and Talwood. It also provides local industry, including cotton and grain producers, access to adjoining highways west and south of Queensland.

Stage 1 of the project was located between Pinehills Road and Weengallon.
