The department is designing safety improvements at the intersection of Beaudesert–Nerang Road and Oxenford–Coomera Gorge Road (Maudsland Road) at Mount Nathan.
Funding of $4.9 million has been committed for safety improvements and traffic signal installation at the Beaudesert–Nerang Road and Oxenford–Coomera Gorge Road (Maudsland Road) intersection.

Current status
Detailed design has been completed for the intersection of Beaudesert-Nerang Road and Maudsland Road to provide safety improvements by installing traffic signals. Construction is expected to begin in early 2022 and be completed by June 2022, construction and weather conditions permitting.
