Booral Road and Boundary Road (Urangan), intersection upgrade
Stage 1 works are underway for an upgrade of the Booral Road and Boundary Road intersection at Urangan.
Safety and capacity at the Booral Road and Boundary Road intersection will be improved through:
- replacing the existing T-intersection with a single-lane, 3-leg roundabout
- realigning the Booral Road and Walkers Road intersection to the south with left in, left out only movements
- installing concrete medians on the approaches to the roundabout
- installing pedestrian crossings on the approaches to the roundabout
- installing an off-road shared bike and pedestrian path on Booral Road and Boundary Road to connect with road crossings at the intersection.

Current status
Stage 1 works are underway. Major works will commence in 2025 following relocation of services (water, power, phone, telecommunications) by the relevant public utility providers. We have incorporated community feedback on the proposed scope for the upgrade.
