Booral Road and Boundary Road (Urangan), intersection upgrade

Detailed design is underway for a proposed upgrade of the Booral Road and Boundary Road intersection at Urangan.

Safety and capacity at the Booral Road and Boundary Road intersection will be improved through:

  • replacing the existing T-intersection with a single-lane, 3-leg roundabout
  • realigning the Booral Road and Walkers Road intersection to the south with left in, left-out only movements
  • installing concrete medians on the approaches to the roundabout
  • installing pedestrian crossings on the approaches to the roundabout
  • installing an off-road shared bike and pedestrian path on Booral Road and Boundary Road to connect with road crossings at the intersection.
