Brisbane–Beenleigh Road, Loganlea Road to Waterford–Tamborine Road, business case

A business case is underway for a possible future project on Brisbane–Beenleigh Road between Loganlea Road and Waterford–Tamborine Road at Waterford.

Brisbane–Beenleigh Road is a major road that carries more than 30,000 vehicles per day, with the section between Loganlea Road and Waterford–Tamborine Road carrying more than 44,000 vehicles per day.

The major traffic movements are from Waterford–Tamborine Road into Loganlea Road during morning peak time and reverse during the afternoon traffic peak period.

The business case aims to find a preferred intersection upgrade option to:

  • improve the safety and capacity of the Brisbane–Beenleigh Road intersections with Loganlea Road and Waterford–Tamborine Road
  • identify safety improvements for active transport.

The community is invited to provide feedback on the proposed upgrade to inform the business case.

There is currently no timing for design or construction of the proposed works, however, the business case will assist with securing funding for the next stages.
