Brisbane Metro – Woolloongabba Station

Planning has progressed investigating the opportunity to deliver more benefits to our customers by integrating Brisbane Metro into the Woolloongabba precinct and better connecting Brisbane's bus network with Cross River Rail.

Under the South East Queensland City Deal, the Australian Government, Queensland Government, and Brisbane City Council committed to undertaking planning for the Brisbane Metro – Woolloongabba Station project, which would change how you travel to, from, and around the Woolloongabba precinct.

The Greater Brisbane public transport network needs to keep evolving to meet the travel needs of our community and our visitors.

With an extra 2.2 million people expected to reside in South East Queensland by 2046, investment in infrastructure and services is needed to address the expected population growth.
