Brisbane Valley Highway overtaking lanes

The department is planning for a northbound and a southbound overtaking lane along the Brisbane Valley Highway between Fernvale and Esk.

Overtaking lanes at this location are being investigated to improve road user efficiency and safety by giving motorists the opportunity to overtake slower vehicles.

The proposed northbound and southbound overtaking lanes will be 1.3km long and located between the townships of Fernvale and Esk.
