Caboolture-Dakabin train station access study
The Caboolture-Dakabin Station Access Study seeks to improve access to and around Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary, Narangba and Dakabin train stations.
Moreton Bay is an important and growing region. It is projected to be home to a further 160,000 residents over the next 10–15 years, taking its total 2036 population to more than 675,000. A significant portion of this growth is expected to occur in a few key areas, most of which are located within 5km of an existing train station.
Ensuring the growing community can effectively access these stations through a variety of transport modes will be key to the region's sustainable growth.
The Caboolture-Dakabin Station Access Study is an important step towards a more accessible and integrated public transport network in the Moreton Bay region.
The study will investigate ways to improve access to these stations for all transport modes, whether that be walking, riding a bike or scooter, catching the bus, taking a taxi or rideshare, or driving.
The study will focus on improvements that can be made within the next 10 years to address community feedback, improve transport options for people accessing the stations, and help accommodate planned growth in the region.
