Cleveland-Redland Bay Road upgrade
TMR is undertaking a $110 million package of works to upgrade Cleveland-Redland Bay Road.
The $110 million package of works includes:
- already completed works along key sections of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road
- the upgraded Anita Street intersection
- duplicating Cleveland-Redland Bay Road from Anita Street to Magnolia Parade
- safety improvements at various intersections, including Serpentine Creek Road
- future planning at the Boundary Road roundabout and Cleveland-Redland Bay Road (Anita Street to Giles Road).

Current status
Anita Street intersection upgradeConstruction started in August 2020 with the traffic signals becoming operational in July 2021.
Cleveland-Redland Bay Road duplication (Anita Street to Magnolia Parade)
Community consultation for the duplication of Anita Street to Magnolia Parade has been completed and the consultation report will be available in the coming months.
Vegetation clearing along Cleveland-Redland Bay Road started in late 2021. This clearing is required so public utilities can be relocated before major construction works begin.
Safety improvement works
Safety upgrades at various intersections including Serpentine Creek Road commenced in early 2022, weather and construction conditions permitting.
The upgrades will improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and increase safety for all road users.

A planning study to identify suitable upgrade solutions for the Boundary Road roundabout and Cleveland-Redland Bay Road (Anita Street to Giles Road) corridor started in October 2021.
