Dayboro Road link study
The department is undertaking a study to develop a 20-year vision for the development of Brisbane-Woodford Road (known as Dayboro Road) between the Gympie Road and Youngs Crossing Road intersections.
Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) is working to upgrade Youngs Crossing Road at Joyner, which includes the Youngs Crossing intersection with the state-controlled Dayboro Road.
TMR's planning will inform what upgrades are required to the state-controlled road network at this intersection and along Dayboro Road.
TMR has also developed a Moreton Integrated Transport Model which will provide the framework for the traffic modelling for the Dayboro Road link study.
Pedestrian and traffic surveys have been undertaken on Dayboro Road between Gympie Road and Youngs Crossing Road and targeted stakeholder engagement is underway.

The planning study for Dayboro Road is progressing. Community consultation was undertaken in October and November 2021. TMR will continue to engage with the community as further opportunities to provide feedback are identified.
Construction is underway on the Petrie intersection upgrade. This is a major intersection at the eastern section of the Dayboro Road study area, which provides an important connection between the suburbs of Moreton Bay and wider transport networks.
The Queensland Government has committed $30 million to deliver the Redcliffe Road (Anzac Avenue), Gympie Road and Dayboro Road (Petrie), improve intersection.
