Glass House Mountains Road (Steve Irwin Way) and Caloundra Street intersection upgrade
Construction is underway for safety improvements to the Glass House Mountains Road (known locally as Steve Irwin Way) and Caloundra Street intersection, at Landsborough.
The project will install traffic signals at the Glass House Mountains Road and Caloundra Street intersection to manage the growing traffic, decrease crashes, and enhance road conditions.
Additionally, it will add new signalised pedestrian crossings and upgrade lighting for better pedestrian safety.

Key features
These works will improve safety and reduce the frequency of crashes by delivering:
- a new signalised intersection at the Glass House Mountains Road and Caloundra Street, Landsborough intersection
- changes to the intersection to allow more space for turning vehicles
- new signalised pedestrian crossings across two legs of the intersection
- lighting upgrades to improve visibility.
