Gregory Developmental Road (Clermont – Belyando Crossing), widen and strengthen pavement

Works are underway to widen and strengthen priority sections of around 9km of the Gregory Developmental Road.

The road is an important part of the freight supply chain for various industries including mining and agriculture, providing direct access from Clermont to Charters Towers.

The progressive strengthening and widening of priority sections of this road to 10m will improve safety and accessfor road users who regularly travel along it, including heavy vehicles.

Current Status

Works commenced in August 2024.

To minimise impacts to traffic and inline with funding allocations, these works are expected to be undertaken progressively, finishing in 2028.
