Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road and Ariadne Street intersection, planning
Planning is underway to improve the safety and efficiency of the Maryborough–Hervey Bay Road (locally known as Saltwater Creek Road) and Ariadne Street intersection.
The intersection is located in a busy, high-growth area north of Maryborough.
Planning will assess the current and future needs of the Maryborough–Hervey Bay Road and Ariadne Street intersection, and nearby locations. It will address safety, traffic efficiency and capacity in the area, while also considering the needs of active transport users.
Community feedback and further technical findings will be carefully considered in the planning process.
The planning project will inform the development of a business case to seek funding for future detailed design and construction of the intersection, and longer-term planning projects in the area.
