The Queensland Government is planning for safety improvements on a 20km section of the Mount Lindesay Highway between Jimboomba and Beaudesert.
The planning focuses on improving safety, managing growing traffic, and supporting the region’s future growth.

- Planning is underway to duplicate the highway between South Street, Jimboomba and Cedar Vale Road, Cedar Vale.
- Planning is underway for wide centre line treatment on a 2km section of the highway at Veresdale, with a business case expected to be completed in 2027.
- Planning is underway to lengthen the overtaking lanes between Cedar Vale and Woodhill, with a business case expected to be completed in 2027.
- Designs are being developed for channelised right turns at 4 intersections between Woodhill and Gleneagle, and are expected to be completed in late 2026.
