New England Highway—Cooyar to Bum Bum Creek pavement widening

Safety and freight efficiency will improve by widening the New England Highway between Cooyar and Bum Bum Creek.

Safety will be improved by widening and resurfacing the road, upgrading drainage and improving intersections between Cooyar and Bum Bum Creek, south of Yarraman.

Freight efficiency will improve by increasing the road width and strength capacity for B-doubles and other heavy vehicles. Transport productivity and reliability will improve while also reducing travel time and maintenance costs which will support economic development in southern Queensland and the Darling Downs.
