North Coast Line Stabling Expansion
The department is planning upgrades and expansions to train stabling facilities across the rail network.
These stabling upgrades are needed to accommodate New Generation Rollingstock trains, the new trains being delivered by the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program and to prepare for Cross River Rail.
This increase in train and network capacity has led to an investigation into the most strategic and effective locations to stable the extra trains overnight and between peak periods.
