Transport and Main Roads MX Customisation

The Transport and Main Roads MX customisation installs a series of files specifically designed to simplify the process of drawing production from MX. These files are broken down into three distinct groups.

• MRQ_Macros: the ability to draw plans using lines, symbols or group a sequence of commands in accordance with Transport and Main Roads standards.
• MRQ_Styles: defines the drawing styles for a set of features, with one style per feature to the Design string naming convention or Survey string naming convention in accordance with Transport and Main Roads standards.
• MRQ_Tables: defines the codes to be used in the layer name for each element type, and also defines which layer table is used for a particular mode to Transport and Main Roads standards.

This release of the customisation includes both SADV02 and SADV04 versions of the styles and macros. The user has the ability to select the version to be used.

As a general rule, version SADV02 is used with surveys produced up to the end of 2004 and version SADV04 is for use with surveys produced in accordance with the document 'Main Roads surveying standards : version 1.2' generally surveys created after the year 2004.

Installing the Transport and Main Roads MX Customisation 

1. Download the MX customisation file 'mrmxcust_SADV04.zip'.
2. Unzip the download file to a folder on you hard drive (for example: C:\Program Loads\MR MX Customisation).
3. If you have a previous version of the Transport and Main Roads MX customisation, go to 'Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs' and remove it.
4. Run "setup.exe" to install the customisation files.

A new program shortcut is created: MR MX customisation. For a more detailed description of the customisation and MX installation instructions, refer to the MR MX customisation help file.
