Brisbane Valley Highway safety upgrades

Planning is now underway for the next phase of upgrades to improve safety along the Brisbane Valley Highway.

These improvements will build on work already in progress. Locations and details of safety upgrades will be confirmed as the project progresses.

Project planning will explore a range of potential safety upgrades including:

  • Road widening at key locations
  • New overtaking opportunities
  • Intersection improvements
    (Note: Some intersection upgrades are already progressing under the Brisbane Valley Highway Intersection Upgrades project)
  • Better active transport options in townships.

The planning process will help identify the highest priority upgrades to be delivered as part of this project.

This project is part of the Brisbane Valley Highway Safety Upgrades with contributions from the Australian Government and Queensland Government.
