Bruce Highway (Bowen – Ayr), construct overtaking lanes

Works to complete 7 new overtaking lanes on the Bruce Highway between Bowen and Ayr have been completed.

The new overtaking lanes are improving safety and efficiency on this section of the highway while reducing travel times and driver frustration by providing additional, safe opportunities to overtake slow moving vehicles.
