Construction to duplicate Caboolture-Bribie Island Road to a 4-lane, dual carriageway from Old Toorbul Point Road to just east of Saint Road has been completed. This included signalising the Volz Road/Browns Road intersection.

This project forms part of the Caboolture-Bribie Island Road Upgrade Program, which outlines the Queensland Government's long-term plan to upgrade the road to provide a 4-lane, median-divided road for the length of the corridor.
A separate project to upgrade the Caboolture-Bribie Island Road and Old Toorbul Point Road intersection was completed in September 2021 as part of this program. Investment ID 489249.
