The Queensland Government is progressing construction of the Mooloolaba Road, Syd Lingard Drive to Tantula Road West intersections upgrade project in Buderim.
The project focuses on targeted upgrades at the Syd Lingard Drive and Tantula Road West intersections, to improve traffic flow, reduce delays and congestion, and enhance safety for all road users.
The upgrades will improve access to Syd Lingard Drive, Sugar Road, Tantula Road West, and the Sunshine Motorway. They will also improve the operation of the Mooloolaba Road bridge over the Sunshine Motorway, helping to improve traffic flow through this busy area.
This project is a planned investment. The Queensland Government has allocated funding towards upgrading the intersections, including through the Safer Roads, Better Transport Initiative.

The Queensland Government is undertaking planning to identify future improvements to safety, capacity and traffic flow on the Sunshine Motorway between Mooloolah River and Maroochy River.
We’re directly connecting the eastern communities of the Sunshine Coast to South East Queensland’s passenger rail network, making it easier to travel locally and between the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.
