Sunshine Motorway (Tanawha – Mooloolaba), Dixon Road to Mooloolah River Interchange, business case

The department is planning to improve a section of the Sunshine Motorway between Dixon Road, Buderim and the Mooloolah River Interchange.

Options will be investigated to accommodate increasing traffic demands and improve safety and efficiency along this section of the Sunshine Motorway and the surrounding road network.

The planning will align with the Sunshine Motorway, Mooloolah River Interchange Upgrade project.

Current status

Planning is expected to start in 2023 and a business case delivered in 2025.

There is currently no funding allocated for detailed design or construction. Funding for the upgrade will be considered against other infrastructure priorities across the state.
