We're improving road safety on the Bruce Highway with the $9 billion Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program. The program delivers key safety treatments to priority sections north of Gympie with a high safety risk.

Current status

We're speeding up delivery of important safety upgrades. More than 70 design and construction tenders will be going out to market, helping us deliver safety improvements quickly while building a strong pipeline of future works.

Early start and accelerated construction works are well underway, supported by ongoing design activities.  

Works are scaling up along the highway, with significant safety improvements to be rolled out strategically over the coming years.
