Regulator Performance Framework
All Queensland government agencies are required to report annually on how their regulations are implemented, administered and enforced. This is to ensure that consideration is always given to effectively and efficiently achieving policy objectives while determining that the regulatory burden is relevant and appropriate.
The report must be developed against 5 model practices:
- ensure that regulatory activity is proportionate to risk and minimises unnecessary burden
- consult and engage meaningfully with stakeholders
- provide appropriate information and support to assist compliance
- commit to continuous improvement
- be transparent and accountable in actions.
