Coomera Connector (Stage 2), Pimpama to Coomera, planning and design
Stage 2 of the Coomera Connector, between Pimpama and Coomera, is around 5km and is the next priority section for planning and design.
The Coomera Connector (M9) is a 45km north-south future motorway that will run between Loganholme and Nerang, east of the Pacific Motorway (M1) and heavy rail line. Stage 2 is the next priority section for planning and design, connecting with Coomera Connector Stage 1 (Coomera to Nerang).
Extending the corridor to Pimpama, Stage 2 will build on the benefits of Stage 1 and deliver a continuous 21km motorway and active transport corridor between Pimpama and Nerang.
The project will improve network resilience by providing an alternative route to the M1, helping to reduce congestion, improve safety, and support growing communities in northern Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

Funding
Coomera Connector (Stage 2), Pimpama to Coomera project is a planned investment. The Queensland Government has allocated funding towards planning and design. Investment ID: 3646282
Funding for delivery of Stage 2 will be considered by the Australian and Queensland governments in due course, subject to further project development, site investigations, and funding contribution negotiations.
