Coomera Connector (Stage 2), Shipper Drive to Yawalpah Road, planning and design
Stage 2 of the Coomera Connector, between Pimpama and Coomera, is around 5km and is the next priority section for planning and design.
The Queensland Government is undertaking planning and design for Stage 2 of the Coomera Connector (M9), a 5km section of the future motorway between Pimpama and Coomera.
The Coomera Connector (M9) is a 45km north-south future motorway that will run between Loganholme and Nerang, east of the Pacific Motorway (M1) and heavy rail line. Stage 2 is the next priority section for planning and design, connecting with Coomera Connector Stage 1 (Coomera to Nerang).
By extending the Coomera Connector Stage 1 up to Pimpama, Stage 2 will expand on the benefits of Stage 1 and deliver a combined 21km of new motorway and adjacent walking and bike riding path in South East Queensland, from Pimpama to Nerang.
This project will relieve congestion, improve safety, and provide a more reliable and resilient transport network by offering an alternative to the M1 for some of Queensland’s fastest-growing suburbs.
