Holmview station precinct upgrade

Holmview station is being upgraded as part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project.

The new station will be relocated north of its existing location, improving flood immunity and ensuring greater reliability of future services.

The Spanns Road and Holmview Road level crossings will be removed, improving safety and traffic congestion with new pedestrian overpasses and local road upgrades to maintain connectivity for the local community.

Key features

The Holmview station precinct upgrade will provide:

  • improved safety and customer experience with lighting and CCTV throughout the station and car park and increased platform coverage
  • a pedestrian overpass connecting the station building to the platforms
  • better active transport connections with improved walking and cycling infrastructure
  • greater reliability of future rail services.

Level crossing closures

The level crossings at Holmview Road and Spanns Road in Beenleigh will be closed.

Holmview Road level crossing

A new road connection will link Holmview Road to Chapman Drive to maintain local access.

A new pedestrian and cycling connection will provide access over the rail corridor in the vicinity of Houdini terrace.

Spanns Road level crossing

The southern side will be converted to a cul-de-sac.

A new pedestrian overpass will provide improved access to both sides of the rail corridor.
