Kuraby station precinct and level crossing upgrade
The Kuraby station precinct is being upgraded as part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project to improve accessibility, safety and customer experience.
The updated station design includes a new footbridge, lift and stairs to improve station access and provide better connections across the rail corridor to local destinations in the community.
The station design has been further developed by the ActivUs Alliance following initial design work this year and incorporating feedback from prior community and stakeholder consultation.
The Kuraby station precinct also includes the removal of the Beenleigh Road level crossing, where a new road-over-rail bridge is being built to improve safety, local walkability and access across the rail corridor. This is the first section of works to start construction in the precinct.

The Bielby Hull Joint Venture has commenced construction on the new road-over rail bridge in Kuraby. While construction is underway, the community can expect increased noise, dust and vibration as well as road and pedestrian journey changes. We will keep the community updated.
