Kuraby train station upgrade
Kuraby station is being upgraded to improve accessibility, safety and customer experience for the community.
We will retain the existing platforms and a range of improvements will be made to make travel easier, including increased platform coverage, new lifts and improved park 'n' ride facilities.
The Kuraby train station upgrade will be designed and constructed in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) to provide and improve accessibility for all users.
As part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, we will also upgrade the level crossing at Beenleigh Road, Kuraby.

Key features
As part of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project, the Kuraby train station upgrade will provide:
- improved station accessibility with new lifts, hearing loops, accessible car parks, and flush kerbing
- improved safety and customer experience with lighting and CCTV throughout the station and car park and increased platform coverage
- better cross-corridor connection via a pedestrian overpass
- improved park ‘n’ ride and kiss ‘n’ ride facilities
- better active transport connections and a secure bicycle enclosure.

Beenleigh Road level crossing upgrade
We are removing the level crossing at Beenleigh Road, Kuraby and replacing it with a road-over-rail bridge.
Once completed the new road connections will link to the upgraded Kuraby station and park ‘n’ ride, as well as to existing community facilities such as Wally Tate Park and Kuraby Mosque via Jacob Lane.
Pedestrian connections will also be provided to allow people to safely walk and ride along this section of Beenleigh Road and over the rail corridor.
