Achievements

When bicycle riders can be certain secure bicycle parking facilities are available, they’re more likely to ride to and from public transport.

Queensland Rail has developed an improved online system for booking secure bicycle parking at stations on the Citytrain network.

Launched in October 2019, the new system allows us to deliver a more efficient bike storage system, with improved notifications to customers. It also allows us to process online payments and refunds, eliminating the need for cash and cheque deposits.

We will promote the new system to new customers and continue to engage with key stakeholders to identify future improvements.

We will deliver improved access to secure bicycle parking facilities to help people easily transition from their bicycle to the Queensland Rail network.
